Question:
Make up Virgin..ish..
Hi Guys,
I'm usually a looker rather then a poster...so first HI:wave:
I would be grateful for some advice i'm after...
I wear the usual mascara & lipgloss/balm, but other than that i don't know how to wear anything else. I don't wear foundation / conclearer (?) because i have freckles.
I was looking in the mirror this morning and realised i need some sort of make up under my eyes...i have dark lines and would really love to hide them (i know more sleep would help:sleep: )
I have a of light skinned complexion, so my freckles are brown / light brown.
Any recommendations would be highly appreciated.
Thanks;)
Hi there x_B@BY_LuV_x
Is it ok if we call you Baby, as that's a bit of keyboardful :) ;)
Welcome to 'The Bag!
I too have pale skin and freckles (more noticable in Summer though!). I tend to leave my skin bare, but I wondered if you might be interested in trying something like a tinted moisturiser, just to give a bit of base on days you feel you need it?
I've heard good things about the Nivea Young Tinted Moisturiser, and the Boots No 7 one as well.
As for an under eye concealer, again No7 come up trumps here with their version of Yves Saint Laurent's Touche Eclat.
It can be found here
Below is a link to No 7's Sheer tinted moisturiser in fair:

If you want to play up your eyes, a soft brown eyeliner on the lower lid is always a nice way to give them a bit of 'oomph'. Rimmel are good here, their pencils are soft, and inexspensive.
Rimmel, Natural Collection and Boots 17 are also good for eyeshadows if you're on a budget. Boots 17 are especially good, lovely quality and a nice range of colours/finishes.
If you're looking more upmarket then MAC is a sure fire winner when it comes to shadows. They have every texture/colour under the sun and the quality is fantastic!
You don't say what colour eyes you have? But I'll assume you have blue if you're pale skinned with freckles.
I have blue eyes too, and use greys, khakis, bronzes, golds and soft taupes and plums to bring out the colour of my eyes.
Bronze and brown shades are the best for making them reallly stand out.
Blusher wise, I'd always recommend a creme/stick blush.
I use Pout's Flush Blush in Peachy passion to give a creamy rosy glow to my cheeks.
Hope the suggestions and tips help?

Hiya!
Welcome to the bag!!
A very brilliant reply as always from Missbean! I agree with everything she said!
One quessie-does anyone else with freckles not wear foundation?! I have pale skin, blue eyes and freckles and wear foundation?!
I've got blue eyes, pale skin and freckles and I don't always wear foundation. It depends what I feel like! If I do wear it then it's not to cover my freckles, I wear pretty sheer foundations so freckles tend to show through.

I do wear foundation, but as it's the winter my freckles aren't visible anyway. And like Hb said, if I wear foundation it's not to cover them, it's more to even out my skin tone if I'm having an attack of redness or blemishes...
