Skin Care Help
Sorry I know there is loads of these but thought i'd do a thread anyway just for some guidance!!

My skin is in sucha state it needs new skin i think!! Its very dull, red patches are all over and not pretty at all. Also there is some skin blemishes (not spots on my cheeks and chin that never disappear. Also that areas always go red and i can never calm it down. Also on my nose its always red and has loads of blackheads along with it being shiny as hell!! The rest of my face is not oily, just normal i think but i do need to moisturise sometimes. Also have dark circles!!!

Any hints and tips what to use? Pref affordable stuff but anything will be grateful :o) I'm sick of wearing make-up all the time.

Thanks xx

Hi  Alexia. Probably the marks are spot scars. I have them too and they are so annoying. They do fade over time though and there's been lots of recs on here for speeding up the process. Of the top of my head
decleor prolagene gel
vitamin E oil
rosehip seed oil
lavender oil
Are all ones that are meant to be very good. Some people have also had sucess with glycolic peels and microdermabrasion treatments. If you were interested in that but didn't want to go for one at a salon. You could always buy a weaker diy one and see how you go with that.
Mask of magnaminty from lush is great for oily skin and blackheads. If you have normal skin everywhere else it would be probably be a little too harsh for the rest of your face. As you've said the oiliness/blackheads are only a problem on the nose though, it won't really matter. You can buy it in a small pot and just use it on the nose, that's what I do. I didn't notice a difference right away but after a few weeks my blackheads had cleared up alot, using it twice a week.
To perk up your skin if it's feeling dull, good exfoliaters are olay thermal polisher, st ives and no7. Or if you go for a microdermabrasion one, that will perk your skin up anyway without needing an extra exfoliater. Another option is to use a muslin cloth when washing your face. They gently exfoliate every time you wash, they're really good at keeping skin glowing. Liz earle's cleanse and polish cleanser would be good for you as well I think. It's great for dull skin and leaves it lovely and soft. If you do decide to try that though. I would use it sparingly on your nose. As it can be a bit too rich for oilier skin. For everywhere else though, it should be great.
Hope this helps :)
