Hey Kel, sounds like you have combination skin.
What is your current skincare routine?
I'm going to be bias now because I use Liz Earle as my HG skincare products. I swear by her products. Her range caters for different skin types, and I know that she sells combination skin products as well. The cost is a tiny bit steep, but you can buy trial sizes.
I have dry/ sensitive skin, and trust me, it's been a nightmare in the past with trying to find good products that aren't harsh.
I can't recommend you any high street brands to try, sorry, but maybe go into Boots or Superdrug and ask a SA there?
Sorry for the useless post :o

Sometimes if you over moisturise an area, the skin will produce more oil as it thinks it is dry. Your nose is probably dehydrated rather than dry, as that's what happens to mine. Don't use any harsh products on the area, and try to use a mattifying moisturiser to help with the oil. Gentle exfoliation should help too.
I use Dermalogica products on my combination/dehyrated skin as I haven't found any similar products cheaper. I use Skin Hydrating booster - lovely oil free light fluid which really does help, and Skin Hydrating Mask which is oil free too but full of water. Neither of these create any more oil and I'll happily use them on my oilier bits.

Mask of magnaminty from lush is great for blackheads and oily skin as well. I noticed a great improvement in the blackheads on my nose after I started using this. I didn't notice it right away but after a few weeks of using it twice a week. They looked alot better. Also it's only £2 something for a small pot.
It might be slightly drying if your nose is flaky though so I would try to sort that problem out first. If you're using a foaming cleanser then the sls's won't be doing the dryness any good. I would switch to a cream cleanser, but one that can still be washed off so that it doesn't leave a residue. The liz earle cleanser that lost mentioned works this way. Fairy Poppins recommended the vitamin c range from the body shop to me the other night as well. I haven't tried them yet but she said it's good for repairing skin, she recommended the vitamin c skin booster and vitamin c skin capsules.
Hope this helps. :)

My nose has been really oliy recently too, and I stopped moisturising it, it did get dry and flaky, but I jut rode it out and now it seems to have naturally balanced itself out
I also suffer from blackheads..
I don't really have any recs, although the best skin care range I found for my combi skin was Liz Earle, it really worked wonders-but then unfortunately I broke out horrendously, and put it down to the LE. Although now, I'm having second thoughts and want to go back to it as it really was the best thing I'd found.
I was using the Cleanse and Polish and Instant Skin Boost Tonic.
Sorry that's not much help hun, hope you get it sorted
