Step - by - Step Makeup !!!
  Hiya Girlies!
I need help!!!!!
Right, for years Ive just worn a light smear of a possible foundation...not sure what it is...I just got sold it! Mascara and thats it!
Anyway, I now have a great new job and want to wear super nice makeup that will hopefully last the day.
I love the sexy red lips...but please remember baby steps!
So, really Im after a full makeup lesson...where to start first. I don't have perfect skin and gets a few spots every now and again and the usual greasy t-zone.
So can anyone help??!?!?!?!?! :o :( :)
Or point me in the direction of a website that could?

Hi,
I'm not sure of any websites that would help, I'm afraid.Although I'm kind of in the same position as you.I only used to wear clear mascara and tinted moisturiser if I went out.Not any more.
I started to get that Beauty magazine that came out last year and it has completely changed my routine. It gives you a new look on each issue with makeup to do the look with and its cheap enough to try things out to see if you like them.It comes out every couple of weeks and you can get back issues too.I'll try and find the website address and post it.
Not sure if this has helped you much.Other heregers may have some better suggestions. As for the red lips, I was hovering over this look too but am slightly scared by it.You could try a lip stain first to see if you like the look on you.I think TBS and Benefit do these. Also you could get a makeover with Clinique, MAC etc as they should be able to give you products to suit your skin type, colouring and also tips of how to apply it.Not sure if you have to pay, or how much as I haven't done this myself yet.
Failing that just get items to try i.e eyeshadow, gloss, lipstick etc based on your coloring.I think the L'Oreal(?) website does demonstrations in how to put on eyeshadow, blusher etc
Maybe another bagger can correct me on the site that does the demonstrations
Good luck with the new job aswell

Hey Kelly!
Many thanks for replying! I thought about going to see one of the Make-up counters, but Im scared of being forced into getting something that doesn't suit me or thats extorciantely expensive.
Plus, they're quite intimidating!!!!!
Anyway, Ill definately try the magazine!
Good Luck with the red lips!

I think the MAC make-over is £25 but then you get that money off if you buy something. I'm going to have a makeover with them when I get round to booking one. Whenever I've asked MAC SAs for help they've been great, not intimidating at all.
In the past I've had makeovers at Clinique and Benefit, both were free and I wasn't pressurised into buying anything I didn't want. Think you just have to be prepared to say you don't like something or you want to go away and think about it. :)

You could try the L'Oreal website...they have step by step videos of how to apply different types of makeup..I only found it last week myself and thought it was really useful.
