Microdermabrasion

I hope I spelt that properly! I saw someone on 10 Years Younger having a microdermabrasion treatment to help get rid of her blackheads and I wondered if any baggers had tried it before? I would do anything to get rid of my blackheads, shrink my enlarged pores and generally brighten up my grey skin, and this seemed like a bit of a wonder cure. Does it work? Do you have to have more than one treatment? Are the DIY kits that you can buy just as good (I have £30 Boots vouchers to spend so will happily spend it on something to treat my skin)?

I was wondering about this too. The woman on 10 years younger had lots of blackheads & after having the microdermabrasion treatment they had disappeared & her skin was glowing.
I wonder how much this costs & whether it's painful? I have very sensitive skin so I don't know whether this would be good for me but I'd be interested to see if anyone else has had it done. It said that it causes temporary redness & dryness but I suppose it would be worth it if it got rid of blackheads & made my skin look more healthy.

Microdermabrasion
The ones you do at home are not no way as strong as the professional ones. I love the Philisophy Great One two step verison at £57,gives the skin a real glow. But the professional ones they sort of sand blast your skin with a machine.
I had a course of microdermabrasion at a beauty salon, it cost me £250 for 6 and didn't make much of a difference at all!
I'm resigned to having my blackheads forever.
It seems to work for some people mind you.
