Benzoyl Peroxide
Has anyone tried benzoyl peroxide on their face to unclog pores?
I read about it on Acne.org and have been trying it for a week, as I am determined to get rid of these bumps over my face!
I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with it - good or bad?

I'm allergic to it, so I've had a really bad experience of using it.
I was once prescribed it by a doctor, and I applied it according to the instructions before going to bed. When I woke up, I couldn't open my eyes as my whole face had swollen up like a balloon. I had to be taken to an emergency surgery because it was a Sunday, and I was given anti-histamines. It took a while for my face and skin to get back to normal.
i used it about a year ago, its not an overnight thing but it definately helped. start at the lower concentration tho, you can get it from the chemists. ive stopped using it now though as my skin has pretty much cleared up!:)
Sorry to hear you had such a bad allergic reaction to it Zia. They do say that about 3% of people who use it are allergic to it... You are obviously one of those unlucky 3%
I am using 2.5% and I am finding it rather drying! I have been trying to get hold of jajoba oil as I hear it is very good and moisturising, but I have looked in Holland & Barret, Sainsbury's and Asda and no luck! Shall try Boots sometime...
Set you free - how long did it take to start clearing your skin up?
Beware if you have remotely sensitive skin, it burnt my face and i used the tiniest amount.
