Question:
make up and hospital
Hello
Is there any nursing sudents or nurses ouut who can advice on wearing make up when on placements in hospital etc;
I have applied for nursing and i am a mature lady of 42 years old.
I really hate going anywhere without wearing make up becauuse i have red marks on my face.
If i can only wear alittle foundation i would be happy::)

I'm a med student and wear makeup in hospitals. I don't use anything but light foundation as I don't want to look overdone but my friends (some of them) wear the whole lot and noone says anything.
Just got to look proffesional that's all. Good luck with the application :)
Thanks Rosy i am keeping my fingers crossed.
Benny :)
I have always worn make-up to work, without it people would probably mistake me for a patient as I am so pale :lol: Most nurses wear at least some makeup! One tip, take a lip balm with you, and hand cream, as hospital air is very drying.
The alchol rub for hands are also drying on the skin.
