No night time moisturiser? The Dr Hauschka way?
Question:

No night time moisturiser? The Dr Hauschka way?
Last week I had a wonderfully relaxing Dr Hauschka facial treatment as a birthday present. The therapist said that the Dr H philosophy is that you should not moisturise the skin at night as the skin needs the rest so that it can repair and rejuvenate itself. What are people's thoughts on this? I am 34 (eeek!!) and thought that I should really be using more and more night creams and balms to keep the wrinkles at bay so hearing that I should be using nothing is a bit alien to me.
To moisturise at night or not to moisturise; that is the question...!

I hardly ever remember to moisturise full-stop & my skin's ok....
(in fact, my skin was actually better before I tried using a certain well-known brand that totally messed it up - it's taken me a good couple of years to get even remotely near what it used to be...)

I couldn't do it. I'm 32 (boo hoo) and I've got dry, sensitive skin. My face would feel horrible - tight and dry - if I didn't moisturise at night.

I must admit I'm very undecided on this one! My skin is dry and sensitive too and needs some anti-aging products too - so at the mo I need something at night - perhaps in the summer if I comba my dry skin - I might be tempted to go naked-faced!
As Eve Lom also counsels clients to go naked-faced at night - no cream, no lotion, no facial oil - so that skin can 'rebalance' all on its own. But the initial sensation of tautness takes some getting used to.
If you do give it a whirl - let us know how you get on!;)

I'm 32 & my skin's dry/sensitive too... (I actually have quite bad eczema)
But I actually find that my facial skin is def better off without commercial moisturiser..... (if I do use anything these days it tends to be Waitrose Baby scalp massage oil....)
