Question:
Makeup for odd face shape?
I'm not entirely sure where this should be, but here goes. I have a very square face (my jaw is as wide as my forehead  ), which makes my already small mouth look even smaller. I measured it, and my eye is wider than my mouth! To give you an idea of the shape of my face, Diane Kruger (on the front of the Beauty pages) has the same shaped face as me.
Sadly I couldn't hope to compete with the rest of her ;) My cheekbones are only visible when I have light directly above my head, and my forehead is much more prominent than hers because of my dark hair and pale skin. My eyes are abnormally large (I'm told) and hazel/green in colour. My skin is quite pale but can go a bit red and/or spotty sometimes!
So to summarise, wide face, large eyes, tiny, tiny mouth. Any makeup tips that can stop me looking like a pair of eyes in a square face??
I think you need to be very clever with bronzer, blusher, highlighters (face and eyes) and eyeshadow. That's quite a lot really... how about arranging a beauty lesson with a therapist to teach you some basics you could repeat at home. Or just chat to an SA on a beauty counter :) - MAC tend to be v good at that kind of thing. In a nutshell, whatever you shadow will be minimised and what you highlight will stand out - so (subtle ;) ) shadow on the widest part of your jaw will make it look less prominent; highlighter above/on your cheekbones will draw attention upwards. Nothing wrong with big eyes so would play those up and make them focus of attention. Paler colours and gloss make lips look bigger while deeper colours draw more attention to them but make them look smaller.
Hope this helps a little!
