Question:
A bit of a personal one - ingrown hairs on bikini line
Ok this is a slightly personal one but…………. I get really, really horrendous ingrown hairs on my bikini line! These occur both when I shave and wax. But are loads worse if I wax.
I exfoliate regularly but nothing helps.
I have so many in growns it is actually embarrassing. I know I should just leave the bikini line alone but I don’t want to leave the hair down there.
I am going on holiday in two weeks to Kenya – so I will be in a bikini loads and I really want to try and do something about the problem!
Any advice?
Ouch - that sounds painful!
Hmm, bit of a tough one this. Just a suggestion, are there any hair removal creams that work on the bikini line? These dissolve the hair shaft so might work (I'm going on holiday in the summer too!). Only other suggestion I have is possibly using Vitamin E cream or aloe vera oil to soothe the area after shaving waxing.
Sorry I'm not much help :)
hi jenesis,
no that is a help. seriously any suggestions are welcome! shaving and hair removal creams work loads better than waxing for me. but i still get some irritation. will def try vitamin E cream as i know taht is supposed to be good for scaring!
that is the other problem, the ingrown hairs leave nasty scars!
thanks!
I get this, I actually enjoy sitting there with a needle and digging them out (I am weird!). Seems if i keep on top of the shaving/digging out routine, they get less and less... have you only recently started shaving "down there"???
I think using a cream instead of shaving should solve the problem, but otherwise -
Rub loads of sudocream on the area (nowhere...erm, sensitive though :o ) after shaving. This should stop them appearing, or at least you'll get less!
Or tendskin, which you can buy from www.hqhair.com i haven't actually tried this but apparently it's good for this sort of thing!
