anyone used whitestrips on fillings
Hi i ordered some white strips and im about to start using them,the only prob is that i have got a white filling on my frnt tooth from where there was a little chip and also have another one on another tooth,it says in the instructions that they do not whiten dental work like fillings.
Do you think i shud still use them or am i gonna be left with a yellow front tooth and the rest white,that will look even worse than all slightly yellow wont it.
I have just quit smoking so wanted to brighten up my teeth but now a bit worried.
Shall i just use them and then if its really obvious then ask my dentist to put a new filling on to match it to the rest,or do u reckon i shouldnt use them?

If your filling matches the colour of your teeth now then i don't think you should use them. The rest of your teeth will brighten up and the filling will stay the same.
Maybe you should ask your dentist if he would bleach your teeth and see what he says knowing about the filling. (obviously don't get him to bleach them as it will be much more expensive) That way you will know if you are able to do it.
Well done for giving up smoking though.
look to see if u can find a product called optident single use bleaching trays, they work on fillings, tons better than whitestrips.
but i suggest before u use anything u have a proper clean and polish at dentist before using anything esp if u packed in smoking
Usually nothing changes the colour of a white filling, except having the filling replaced with a much whiter one once you have had your teeth whitened.
