Question:
How do you apply your eyeshadow?
Hi everyone
I was just wondering how everyone applies their eyeshadow? I always see people with really great-looking eye make-up and I have no idea how to do it!
Also which different shades do you use? (Especially if you have green eyes and dark brown/auburn hair like me!)
Thank you! :D
fingers mainly with the help of a fine brush to add highlights
Depends on where im going.
If Im going out, I'll just two shades and blend them, I'll use a little brush for that though.
If Im just dashing out to th shops I'll use one neutral shade, if I have time I'll put it on carefully with a brush but more often than not I'll just use my fingers.
It sounds so dirty though!!
Hi, well I have blue eyes and dark brown (reddy) hair
But to apply eyeshadow I usually do the following:
A base colour like my TM Matte in Shell a very pale creamy colour all over lid and especially in the brow line, around the outside and bottom lid.
Then center of lid just tipping over the crease a middle colour from what I am going to apply to the lash line if I am wearing my darker purple or plummy colour I use my pinky colour then using my angle headed lash line brush sweep the darkest colour along the lash line and half of lid. I also use the tip of the angle to gently sweep some along the rim of my lower lid.
Then apply liner. My eyes are an almond shape and appear to turn down at the ends so to "lift" them I apply the line at an angle from the outside and then follow the lash line on the top lid only.
For a more dramatic look I follow the entire lash line very tightly all the way around but not inside the rim.
Then Mascara.
I'm going to see if I can get my husband to take some pics to show befores and afters but hopefully that all made sense.
Oooh Thankyou!
I'm useless at using my fingers for eyeshadow, but wish I could do it- sounds so much quicker!
NoAddedSugar- That sounds complicated but I think I get it! Will just have to sit down with a bottle of eye-makeup remover and practise I guess :cmdunno:
anna :D
