st. ives apricot...
Question:

st. ives apricot...
I use Apricot cleanser morning and night and today I was looking to buy an exfoliator and saw the apricot scrub. Is this an exfoliator? Ie: to use a couple of times week? I bought it anyway but am not sure whether it's the same as the cleanser or not?

Hiya, yeah if its got a sandy texture to it. Once or twice a week at most...aren't there any directions on it? I can't remember if I've tried this one but I have definitely trried one with Ground Apricot Kernel in (I am guessing this is the same) and I found the bits to be very large and scratchy, and I felt like this was taking more than just the dead skin. Me and a lot of people I have heard from on here prefer a smaller bead which is a lot gentler and less harsh on skin. (The larger grains can tend to cause probs and leave skin slightly red and almost a bit raw feeling). The one I am using is No7 Gentle Refreshing Exfoliator and was quite cheap...around £5cos I bought it with one of those vouchers and I never add much to them when I spend them. Oh just thought I'd check on web and they now seem to do one called Radiance Revealed which is recommended to those of us who used to by Gentle Refreshing Exfoliator so I guess its pretty much the same, its £6.50

I didn't know the rough bead did damage to your skin? I actually like beads, the more the better! I've never noticed it to do anything bad to my skin. I used the scrub today after the apricot cleanser, very nice, will continue to use it twice a week!
