Question:
St Tropez applied by a Beauty Therapist?
Hi guys,
I would like either a spray tan done before i go out next weekend. I have had one done before so i know what to expect, but i was thinking of having not a spray tan but a tan applied to me instead.
I rang up a salon based in my city centre and they told me they dont do spray tans but they do the St Tropez tan, where you lie there and they exfoliate you and apply the St Tropez to you. The cost as well is 40 pounds. I have never tried this method, but would like to, but my only hold back is does St Tropez come out dark? And also, has anybody had this done? And has it turned out ok?
Any advice is much appreciated, as i need to book up asap.
Thank you,
Zoe.:D
Hi, I've had a st tropez like this a couple of times and it came out a really nice colour - not dark at all. I'm very, very pale naturally so I was a bit worried about this but it was fine. Apparently it adjusts to your skin tone or something, not sure of the science but it works!
Thank you for your reply smartiecat, i think i just might book up then. Im also pale naturally so was worried about it looking too much, but i might just try it out.
If i wanted to go out on saturday (next week), when would you recommend getting it done? I thought maybe the Wednesday night or thursday? To give it chance to settle down, and also how long did yours last for? Did the therapist also exfoliate you etc?
(Sorry for all the questions, :o )
Cheers,
Zoe:D
you usualy get the choice of exfoliating as it costs extra - if you exfoliate daily a week before and try and get a wax done 2 days before plus loads of moisturising daily - then 2 hrs before shower, exfoliate and moisturise you wont need it done at the salon
i had a spray tan done 5 yrs ago and the colour was lovely - though i had to go back the next day to redo my legs as it didnt take very well! also i had bad drip marks on my toes and fingers but now from doing it myself i know if i had it done again - whatever type - it to first apply a little bit of moisturiser to palms of my hands and then work into fingers and around wrist then wipe thew palms on a towel - then repeat with feet but applying the moisturiser in palms, work into balm the sweep over toes and sides of feet and up ankle etc and then use a towel to wipes bottom of feet and again palms
forgot to add if your going out on saturday thurs or fri night will be fine - i go very dark the first day so would have it done fri morning to give me the chance to shower twice i,e fri night sat night but no earlier than 3 showers before!!
once you have it done and have had your first shower (over 8hrs later) make sure you moisturise and then use a gentle exfoliator for every shower maybe from the 3rd day and moisturise so it doesnt come off patchy but will blend naturally
i love the st tropex exfoliator and u can buy it in a salon size for £23 from ebay and will last months!
