body wash for spot-prone skin?
Question:

body wash for spot-prone skin?
  Hi.
I'm tend to get a few spots on my shoulders and back and was wondering if anyone could recommend a body wash that might help.
I've looked on the boots site and could only find clearasil's complete deep cleansing body wash. Does anyone use this?

I read on the threads a couple of days ago about something called African Black soap. You can buy it here. It looks pretty cheap to but not sure how long it will last.
I'm going to try some along with a few other things i've seen on there when I get some money. (trying to cut down on the spending!!) ;)

Yes, the African Black Soap is really good - I noticed such an improvement in my skin when I started using it. I use it as a face & body wash & as well as clearing spots, it feels really moisturising too which is great as most soaps are quite drying.

ETA: I wouldn't use spot-fighting body washes (especially if your skin is sensitive) as although they work for some people, I find them too harsh. They seem to strip your skin of its natural oils which then makes your skin produce more oil to compensate.

I get terrible spots on my back and chest so really hope it will help sort this out!
I'm also going to get my OH some to use as a face wash as I'm really not a fan of clearasil which is what he's using at the min. Personally, I don't think it works!

IMO, Clearasil is the worst thing to use if you have spots! I haven't heard of anyone who's used it say that it's actually worked & I just think it's way too harsh. I used it when I was about 12 & it burned my skin & made it really red & sore. :(
I hope this works for you & your OH lauzc69, it's worked for me & although I still get a few spots, it's nothing compared to what I used to get. :)

ETA: I forgot to say, have you tried Freederm for your back & chest? It really reduces redness & the size of spots so it might be worth trying? I actually get a different spot gel which has EXACTLY the same ingredients as Freederm but comes in a bigger tube. It's called Nicam Gel & you can get it in Boots at the pharmacy counter. :)
