Question:
Best make up brand for makeovers?
Hello :)
I have decided I will be doing my own make up for our wedding next year, and will be looking to have a few makeovers at make up counters so I can try out their products and get some tips before I buy.
Can anyone recommend brands who give good customer service (I don't want a hard sell), with good quality products that I could use after the wedding itself? Cost isn't really a problem but I don't really want to spend over £100-150 for the following - primer, concealer, creme blush, powder blush, eye make up, lipstick/gloss).
I have had a MAC makeover in the past so will probably visit them again, but other suggestions are most welcome :D
My sister had a Benefit makeover done (not for a wedding, mind) and said they did a fantastic job. Don't know if they try the 'hard sell' on you though.

I do use some Benefit stuff (Dallas and Bad Gal), so that could be an idea - plus I am a sucker for the cute packaging :p
Bobbi Brown are very good.

I work for Benefit and we are not allowed to do 'make-overs'. If someone wants to come in for an appointment it's a make-up lesson. It's basically 4 fake its (like benetint, dallas, high beam ect) and then 4 colours (lipstick, eyeshadow). Well, that's how it should be but if you get a nice SA then they may not do it exactly like this. It's benefits way of ruleing (sp) out time wasters because we have a lot of those who just want make-overs & don't want to buy anything which for us is a total waste of 45 mins because we have targets to hit. :(
