No7 Essential Moisture Foundation
Question:

No7 Essential Moisture Foundation
Hi, does anyone use this and really rate it? I used to use the Skin Defence by N07 and it was brilliant, then they discontinued it when they had the big revamp and I couldn't find one of theirs I liked as much so I went onto Clinique Gentle Light Make Up which I do like and have compliments whenever I wear it. However, N07 have now brought out Essential Moisture foundation which looks very similar to the old Skin Defence and its much cheaper than the Clinique though the latter does last a long time. However, the Clinique one is in a wide topped bottle and it is fiddly to apply. Is the N07 one easy to apply and worth considering? I have some vouchers so am tempted. I do like a glowy look. I have been tempted to try the compact foundation but in the past its always looked a bit heavy on me. I do want something thats convenient and easy to apply though as I am often in a rush in a morning and don't want to faff.

I use it and I love it.
It gives good coverage but without feeling or looking heavy and it doesn't go cakey on my skin which some foundations tend to do.
It applies well and blends nicely and doesn't look mask like either.
I think for the price it is really good :)
This is coming from someone who would much rather have an extra 15 minutes in bed in the morning than mess about putting on make up in the morning ;)

Hi, thanks for your reply. Do you wear this foundation in the Summer, is it suitable for both hot and cold weather? They seem to do a fair range of colours, which one do you use? Do you use moisturiser underneath? Sorry for all the questions.

Answers:

I use one called Buff it is a pale to medium shade. I don't wear moisturiser underneath it usually as it is moiturising enough without doing so.
I don't tend to wear it in the summer as I prefer a tinted moisturiser as it is lighter in the daytime during the summer months but at night time on evenings out in the summer I would wear this.
Funnily enough I used to use a NO7 one which was discontinued although I'm not sure what the name of it was. Since they stopped making it I have tried a few other foundations but none of them have come as close to it as this one.
I would definitely recommend it and if you check the Boots free magazine and the advantage card point you might be able to get it cheaper. I tried it because I had a £5 voucher to use on No7 stuff, and there was a £2 voucher in the Boots magazine so it only cost me £2.
I don't think I'd change now as I am really happy with it.
