Please can you recommend me a perfume...
that is not too feminine?
It's a Christmas gift for my friend but she doesn't wear "girly" perfumes. I know she has used Angel and CK One in the past but I would like to buy her something different.

Let me see, something woody perhaps? Clarins have a Eau Dynamiste fragrances (red bottle) both available as a body oil and a ordinary fragrance. It is lovely! I also love Sicily by D&G. Both fragrances make me feel sophisticated!
Maybe Noa by Cacharel? Or even that new fragrance by DKNY - looks like a red apple (fairly recent) but I've forgotten the name!
L'eau de Issey iby Issey Miyake is not too girly. Also Joop (although I had a devil of a job finding the women's one) and LouLou by Cacherel are other non-girly favourites of mine.
I sometimes wear mens one and love the smell of Ultraviolet by Paco Rabanne. Very sexy, musky smell....I would fall for anyone who wore this.......ok. not everyone.....:p
the new givenchy perfume is lush - its sooo ungirly - i always wear it when i am in rock chich mode - not saying i look rock chich but at least i feel it!! its a really unusual fragrance!
otherwise if she prefers musky scents then why not get her a mans?
i used to get female customers all the time ringing asking for Dior Eau Sauvage and Guerlain Vetiver - personally if i was going for a mans it would be Guerlain L'Instant - I am so in love with that smell....hmmm i might steal it from hubby and try wearing it myself!
