shu uemura make up brushes
Question:

shu uemura make up brushes
Why do people rave about them?
I had a play with them in Harvey Nicks on Wednesday and they felt horrible - really rough and prickly. Maybe that was just the ones that were open (the testers were all FILTHY :yuck: ), but it's really clarified why I dislike natural hair brushes.
On the other hand, the pout brushes felt lovely, so I know why people reccomend them now :D

I've always wondered about the Shu ones, they are quite pricey too arent they ? I think its because the Lash curlers are so fab, I should expect the bruahes and the range follow suit. But I'm not too keen on the make-up range, too expensive for just ..blah. The cleansing oil bottles with the Japanese artwork are very cute.
The Pout ones are lovely...........and pink !!:D
I'm still loving The Body Shops ones FP. They are great quality, made even better by the price.;)

Yeah I couldn't use anything else now - at least not while I have my discount  :D
I love the shu curlers - eyelash curlers that don't give me un natural 90 degree kinks :whoop: - but I so rarely use them I have restrained myself for the time being :D The brushes thought, IMO, are just... well I expected the creme de la creme and they were worse than my cheapy boots ones.

Their brushes are awful. Similar quality to Bobbi Brown (only the BB kabuki is the best on the market!!).
A lot of companies use the same manufacturers, just change the shape of the brush + handle. It's all in the quality of the hair....
The best brushes are squirrel, in fact canadian blue squirrel. Sorry animal lovers...don't ask me how they get the hair....
Synthetic brushes (most MAC ones are) are therefore really popular, but work COMPLETELY differently to a natural hair brush. They are usually harder and don't have the flexibility. Natural hair just picks up and deposits powder SO much better then synthetic. Blending is also better. If you are a perfectionist with tons of money (or someone who's good at saving up! )then natural is the way to go...they can start at £40 for a basic shadow brush......I have invested in quite a few now and they are my pride and joy. It's like once you acquire a diamond....cubic zirconia will just never do.....

I hate bobbi brown brushes! I have one blusher and one face blender brush and both shed hair like crazy. They are totally awful!
