Question:
Mac foundation and concealer colours
Right another mac post here folks.
I got a wee mini makeover there the other day cos I wanted a new foundation and concealer and the woman used NC15 foundation and NW15 concealer!! I thought this was a bit odd and surely you should be using the same shade for both? Well maybe not the same shade, I understand that at NC15 in one foundation may be an NC20 in another but I thought she would have used NC or NW for both. So I bought the foundation and left the concealer and went back another day and asked one woman what concealer I should use and she said definitely NW15 so I bought it.
But later in the day I came across another Mac counter and asked there and the woman said I should use NC15!
So now I am too scared to use my new concealer in case I need to swap it and I have no idea what shade i should use!
Do other people match the concealer with their foundation?
I've always thought concealer was meant to be a bit lighter. Also depends on whether you use it before or after the foundation.
I would try it and see how it looks, if its not right take it back and just say you were advised to use the wrong shade. As long as it not half used they really should take it back. Ask for a manager if the assistant gives you a hard time. They really shouldn't though.
There is a bit of info on their website about colour choices. Maybe have a read of that and see what you think. I think the prefix's are to do with warm/cool tones etc, but I could be wrong. If it doesnt look right, take it back and tell them you are not happy. I think a few people on the bag have been back to MAC, and they have been good.
See what happens and let us know how you go on :)

As far as I was aware as well, this is correct.
NW is for cool tones and NC is for warm tones.
