Question:
shu uemura eyelash curlers. again...
Hi girls,
Decided to invest in some of these and have seen them for sale on ebay at very competitive prices. Has anyone purchased them from ebay? Am considering getting them from Hong Kong but am a bit wary that they might not be the real deal.
Thanks
Saff
I bought mine off ebay and they were fine! Just make sure the seller has got an amazing feedback rating and I would think you would be ok!
:flirt: yeah - basically be careful buying them from ebay - specially hong kong - land of the great fake!!
I buy and sell alot on ebay but know how to spot a fake.
I would hazard an educated guess that they are NOT the original product. Real Shu curlers do the job in a flick and a few seconds to get beauty lashes as they are hand finished to make sure they align properly and don't clamp your skin.
I get mine from the london shop - the girls in there are lovely. You get the curler and a spare rubber - now I don't always use mine every day so they last me over a year - but they recommend for everyday use - 6 months on each rubber and then buy a new pair as by then they will probably be out of alignment and not work so welll.
Ok - they are £18 - but you think over a year - £1.50 per month for great lashes - some would say the staple to a finished look. I personally know that I waste alot more money than that on edible items such as food - no payback there apart from on my hips usually!
Go for it! The guaranteed proper ones I mean. if you ask nicely - you may get a couple of samples as well along with your purchase.
hope this is helpful.
fake stuff on Ebay
DON'T buy from a far east seller.
There is a 99% chance the item is a fake and you will never receive a response or your money back if you are unhappy with the item. In Hong Kong they cost about £6.00 retail - so they will want to make a nice profit - they won't sell the real thing for less!
You will NEVER find a genuine item listed for a silly low price - or they will charge you an inflated price for delivery - which bumps up their price. I've seen Shu Uemura on Ebay - the genuine thing, from the UK, but they won't be offered for less then £10......thats for sure
