Will this get rid of freckles?
Question:

Will this get rid of freckles?
  Hi,
I really want to get rid of my freckles. I don't really mind the ones on my face, it's the ones on my arms and back that I want to get rid of. I never go in the sun without sun block, but these are old freckles that I have had since childhood. There is a new product by ReVive called "Blanche" and I am thinking of giving it a go.
The company blurb says this:
"ReVive Blanche -- Finally, a serum that safely and effectively reduces dark facial pigmentation due to sun damage, aging, or acne. Instead of bleaching, this cocktail of four nonhydroquinone ingredients from ReVive gently blocks melanin for a brighter, more even-toned complexion."
The thing is, it's £320 a tube.
Has anybody here used it? Or heard any reviews? Is it any good?
Would appreciate any replies.

Answers:

No, as a qualififed beauty therapist in my opinion this will not work, if you read the blurb again it does say it may reduce pigmentation.
My advice would be not to waste your money.

Anyway, freckles are lovely I think! :)

I think they're lovely too, they really give character to someone's face, and are they really that bad on your arms and neck?
Then again it's a little bit like people with curly hair, they always want straight hair, and us straight haired people always want curly.
I would try some other things if you really want to cover them up, I hear Clinique do some great products for people who have bad scarring on their faces, this might work for freckles too, non?
I really wouldn't spend that amount of money on something unless I actually knew it was going to work.

Oh dear, I would never use Clinique, it's like acid on your face in my opinion.
Freckles are there to stay I'm afraid, maybe plastic surgery will get rid of them....dunno but no cream could penetrate the skin deep enough to get rid of them. So I wouldn't waste my money on anything including the Clinique stuff.
