Totally O/T I have an interview with debenhams!
Ok Im stressing out because I have got an interview at debenhams at 10am on thursday but the lady said I have to do an assesment of some kind. Ive never worked in retail before so have no idea what to expect. I worked for my parents in an old peoples home my whole life so this is all new to me. Im so panicked! Does anyone has any ideas what this assessment entails at debenhams? Im scared!

Maybe its something like role play on dealing with customers, product knowledge etc. What job have you applied for hun?
thanks hun :). I just sent in my CV with a cover letter attached saying Im interested in customer services. God Im such an idiot, she phoned me back but I didnt ask her any questions. I got scared!She said she was impressed that Im a gradaute. I dont even know how long these things last! Im nervous because Ive never worked in retail and have no experience of this sort of thing. Eeeek!

I'm sure you'll do fine, don't be scared.
As Gansta moll says knowledge of customer service, product lines, also how to deal with conflict situations (irate customers), working relationships, your ambitions (eg where do you see yourself in 5 years time?).
Also check out the website to find out a bit of background about the company. That always impresses.
thanks for the advice ILG :). Im going to dash to town on monday and get a whole load of interview books. I can only do my best. The word assessment scares me to death!
