Hangover face!
Question:

Hangover face!
Well, with the party season approaching us (and the fact that I had a few too many last night :p ) I thought we should maybe share some tips for the morning after...
So my hangover face routine is:
- Make sure I've taken my face off the night before (obviously, I aaaaalways do this, not )
- Massage my face for two minutes with Dr. Hauschka Rose Day Cream (normally too rich for me but perfect when you've a hangover). This is well worth a go, I promise. Instant results.
- Touche Eclat under the eyes and on the eyelids
- Burt's Bees concealer just on the cheeks and around the nose
- Clinique Apricot Spice eyeshadow on the eyes
- Curl my eyelashes
- Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream on the lips
- NO foundation (goes all crackly because I'm dehydrated)
- NO mascara (emphasises the fact that my eyes shrink and go piggy when I've a hangover, makes me look tireder)
- NO lipstick because my lips will be shrivelled and dry, and if I've been on the wine, a horrible chapped purple
Any other tips?

Good thread goatgirl :)
- No matter how drunk, I always at least try to clean my make-up off...this has varying results, but I always get at least some of it off! :p I always think it's a good idea to keep a pack of Simple cleansing wipes for really lazy emergencies, then you can just wipe them over your face before hitting the pillow.
- Drink a pint of water before bed. Drink even more the next day, just flush it all out!
- Cleanse face, then apply MoM for 5 minutes or so. Give skin a good massage as you wash it off.
- Apply moisturiser and Beauty Flash Balm.
- I still apply make-up but try to keep it light, even if my skin looks rough under the foundation, it's best to apply less and hope it calms down throughout the day than trowel it on. Also lay off eyeshadow and just put mascara on, brightening lotion and a touch of bronzer/Dandelion.

Beauty Flash Balm the next morning works wonders. As does drinking lots of water before you go to sleep, and taking makeup off (if you can co-ordinate your arms) :)

i always use guerlains midnight secret the night before as it protects the skin from smoke etc, get home and remove makeup and then apply midnight secret - next morning apply the left over midnight star and i always get comments on how the hell did i manage to look like i had 12 hrs rested sleep! doesnt matter how much i drink i have the take off make-up and apply midnight secret!
i also drink a pint of water as soon as i get in then another pint with 2 paracetamol or syndol or any other painkiller when i go to bed - and an extra pint of water for when i wake in the middle of the night
next morning i rarely feel rough but if i do its got to be a fry up and diet coke!!

hey! think i mite try that drinking water tip! I always wake up really early the next morning, say about 5 and feel like someones drilling into my head!! ha ha! but if i keep paracetemol by my bed, so i dont have to move too far ;) take these, try and go back to sleep and when i reawake my head has stopped banging!
as for beauty tips, i must say if i am really really drunk i admit i have been known to go to bed with my full face on! :o and deal with it in the morning! I wake up with my skin feeling HORRID! but i lay in bed with eye make up remover pads over my eyes, pressing them down to take off mascara, so havent even had to get up yet!! he he! then a face wipe, proper cleansing will come when i finally get up and have a shower!
usually use a scrub, vit e moisturiser and carmex. oh and beauty flash balm!
apply tinted mois (botanics) hide the blemish concealer, mac bronzer, bit of that for eyeshadow, high beam, eliz arden eight hour cream on cheeks too for bit of a glow, mascara and nat collection lip gloss in "turkish delight" which tastes lovely and gives a really fresh look!
