Question:
Best nail varnish?
Hi ladies! I was just wondering if you could tell me which brand of nail varnish you'd recommend? I'm looking for something hard-wearing but which doesn't take an age to dry and which goes on easily.
I've got quite a few Chanel ones but I've found them very thick and hard to apply - they have gone gloopy pretty quicky - though they are hard-wearing.
I've just got some Opi and was really impressed with how it went on and the finish I got, but I only did it yesterday afternoon and it's chipped already. :(
Is there really a HG nail varnish?
Do you use a top coat? I always find that any polish will last much better with a top coat.
For my money I prefer either Opi, Creative or Orly.
Polish needs to go on clean dry nails to stick properly so would recommend that you use varnish remover at the very least before applying polish.
A good base coat and top coat helps. I like Creative Sticky and top coats best or again OPI and Orly do similar.
I think it helps to swipe the varnish across the edge of the nail also.
Faster it dries the better it lasts as well. Some people dab on oil to harden it quicker, some plunge hands into icy water or you could buy a quick dry spray! I use one by star nails. If you are buying high street buy something from Sally Hansen would be my rec.
i love nail polish :) :) !! and my favourite out of all the top brands now is Leighton Denny. i also have opi, creative, orly and essie and leighton denny is the longest lasting one that i have found :) , it is also the easiest to apply :yay: :yay: .
i would defo recomend it
nutty
I recommend and only use OPI or Essie.
Both fantastic and lasts for a good 3 weeks before chipping
:)
