Question:
How do you apply your foundation?
Just a query as I think i'm going to go back to sponges.
I had used sponges forever until the beginning of the year when I realised it looked better with finger application. Now my skin is not quite right, a bit shiny in places and I wonder if that's the reason...(oils from fingertips)?

If your fingers are clean, the oil shouldn't be an issue.
I voted fingertips but often use a brush especially if I'm applying studio tech, otherwise it's fingers. Sponges just waste make up imo.
Neither, i'm a brush girl.

I always wash my hands before applying makeup...I presumed it was the skin's natural sebum in my fingertips.
Hmmm I wonder why my skin has gone noticably oily. I've never had greasy or oily skin in my life
I have used sponges in the past, just a waste of time and foundation !!
thought of buying a foundation brush but seems to fiddly washing it after each use !
will stick to my spotless clean fingers,
