Question:
thread veins/red marks on face
Hi all,
I have very sensitive skin on my face, it's quite dry and I had eczema when i was small but luckily no acne.
I get spots on my cheeks/chin but mostly around a specific time of the month...
Basically, I've got threadveins around my nose and on my cheeks, they're not massive but they're bothering me right now, they're sort of like red irritation marks.
Any ideas as to how to tone them down (not hide them, but diminish them)?
I've started using olive oil on my skin and I also use Coal Face from Lush.
Thanks!
Hi taz. I have quite a few thread veins on my face as well but I just hide them with my foundation and concealer. They are annoying but I don't think there's much you can do apart from be gentle with you skin to avoid getting more. They will fade with time. Make sure you don't squeeze spots or scratch your skin and that you don't use water that's too hot or too cold.
Oh that's good news, do they fade if you're careful?
I always wash my face in the shower so i never put water on my face that I couldn't stand under...
I must sound like laser advocate extraordinaire here but if theyre really bothering you, laser will remove them. From what my laser doc says though it will cost £250 a sess, so very expensive. you could also try electrolysis from a beauty salon where they run a small electrical current through the vein to seal it.
i have these really badly around both sides od my nose:( :o so badly they show through thick make up!:o I hate them soooooo much
