how do you think they came up with the name?
beauty brands, how do you think they came up with their names.I know some are obvious because they are named after the creator.I mean like say mac, stila, tigi , benefit etc.Weird, I dunno just a thought.:)

apparently the 2 sister jan and jean ford (creators of benefit) called it benefit because bene means good in italian ( i think lol) and fit as it was during the fitness revolution when everyone was obsessed with getting 'buns of steel'
oroginally it was called the face place when it was a shop but when it became a counter in dept stores they wanted a new name
also did you know... benetint started out as a nipple stain.....
Slightly off topic but whoever came up with the name Tramp for a perfume should have been shot!
There is a Swedish deoderant called Fanny :o
And imagine thinking up all the names for colours of things! I love the OPI names so they must have a whole team of people who think them up!
Själ and also Ren skincare are named in Swedish (Soul and Clean respectively)
Clarins, Helena Rubenstein, Dr Hauschka, Karin Herzog, Bobbi Brown, Nars, Laura Mercier Stephane Marais and Estee Lauder were named after people. But Elizabeth Arden wasn't as far as I remember.
