My makeup brushes were getting dirty...so i washed them adn now they smell funny! So i had to throw them away!
What did I do wrong???
Did you dry them after you washed them or just leave them to dry naturally.If you left them they might have taken too long to dry and gone damp.Anything that goes damp smells pretty bad so that's probably what it is.:)
You shouldn't have thrown them away! You could have washed them again and let them dry properly, they would been fine!

well i just dried them with a towel slightly and left them to dry...only about 30 minutes ago though and then 10 minutes later they smelt!

I always use Johnson's Baby Shampoo. It's excellent for cleaning dirty brushes. I wash them and then leave them to air dry.
