Question:
face steaming
Hi do any of you use a face sauna, and do you see any benefits from it?
What way do you use it,is it wash ur face, then use it then exfoliate then mask?
Thanks x
I have one.I usually put in a herbal teabag in the bottom, rose for dry skin, lemon or chammomile for oily I think.I usually cleanse my face first then use a facemask afterwards when my pores are open so the mask can be absorbed more.
Oh right i will try the t.bags then, how often do you use it,have you noticed any improvement in your skin since using it? Thanks x
I use it about once a week.I think it does make a difference to your skin.If I've had dry skin it does leave it nice and soft and and at times when my skin is oily it does make a mask more effective I think.I try not to use it too often though because I read somewhere that I can make your pores larger if used too often but I think once a week is fine. Also after a while your face starts to sweat so it really feels like it's working as well, as if it's sweating the toxins out of your skin.Hope this helps.
ok, so I'm a cheapskate. I couldn't bring a facial sauna over to germany with me, but i have a kettle i hardly ever use, and a wide brimmed bowl, I bung an essential oil in there, and boiling water. Head over bowl, towel over head, and leave 10 mins.
It works in exactly the same way as a facial sauna!
I use an exfoliater in the shower beforehand, then steam, face mask, tone, serum and moisturiser, and do it twice a week. WUNDERBAR
