Question:
Help choosing foundation colours - cool or warm?
Hey
Have got caught up today reading Halzers thread about mineral foundation, and have been looking at the Lily Lolo website for ages!
I want to order some foundation samples. But am not sure which of the colour categories I should be looking at.
My skin itself is fair/medium and I wear Dove summer glow on my face so it has a tan glow to it.
Problem is I have very rosy cheeks :o (literally) :p
I HATE foundations with really pink undertones because it does not help tone down my cheeks at all. I have heard that yellow undertones do help??
So what colour of Lily Lolo samples should I be considering -
Neutral, Cool, Warm or Olive?
I know a lot of you use this stuff so your opinions would be much appreciated

I have read different ways of telling.
1 look at the veins on your wrist;
if blue then cool
if green/blue warm
2 which colours you wear and suit best
pale blues and pinks cool
peaches bright greens and blues warm
neutral suits all.
I am pale but warm undertones,I was colourmatched at Prescriptives and Mac said I was an NC which is also warm.
Hhhmmm....I would probably go for warm as that is an inbetween of pink and yellow. I use the 'butterscotch' shade in the Lily Lolo Range and thats reaallly yellow and from the description you gave, I wouldnt think you have yellow tones. I have medium olive skin that tans easily.
Maybe get one in netural and one in warm...
If you are brave enough you could always post us a pic of yourself so we can help further??

Ohhhh not brave enough for that. Hate photos at the best of times :p
Thanks for your advice though, I think I will get Warm Honey (warm) and Cookie (neutral). The skin on my forehead and chin does tan very easily, and is never really white....it is just these damn cheeks causing problems!
Donna255, thanks, those wee tests are great to know. Going by both of them, I'm warm.
Will let you know how I get on with my samples.
Cheers

Lily Lolo Peep-o hides undereye circles really well so I would imagine it would cover very rosy cheeks too. The brush you use to apply mineral foundation etc. really does make the world of difference too.
