Question:
Mac Make-Over
Hi
I was just wondering whether anyone has ever had one of these done and if so how did it work out?
I have a party that I am going to next week - really don't want to as I don't like the bloke but he is a friend of hubby's. I want to actually make an effort for a change and hubby suggested that I go and have my hair and make up done and he would pay for it! :yay:
I quite fancy trying the Mac makeup because it seems to have lots of good feedback on this site so would you suggest I go for it and would it last all night as I don't want to have to worry about constantly retouching. Thanks for your advice.
Hiya
I'm not too sure how much it is now, about £20-25 which is redeemable against any purchases.
If your in London I'd reccomend the Carnaby Street store as they have Pro products as well (which is the full range) & they're so helpful.
I hope you have a good time.

How funny I was just thinking about this last night.
My OH is DJing at Ministry of Sound next Friday and I wanna make sure I look great so was thinking I might treat myself to a MAC makeover but wasn’t sure how much they cost or how good they are.
Would also be interested to hear of anyone who has been and what they thought of it.
i've had a couple and they have all been great.
i find you have to be quite specific about what you do and don't want though in terms of colours, whether its a day/night look and generally what you are prepared to accept.
my sister had a mac makeover done and went in with no concepts or ideas so they just did a very dark smokey eye look which she hated - teach her not to give any guidance!
its also quite handy to use it as a bit of a lesson, ie they do one eye in steps, and you do the other. i tend to talk all the way through asking for tips, recommendations etc..
it is either 20 or 25 quid for this and you redeem this against makeup.
word of warning: you have to book up in advance for these, especially if you want a weekend slot.
can recommend the pro shop, covent garden, hof bluewater and fenwicks t wells! i cant imagine getting a bad one though (if you know what you want to get out of it) as all mac sales people have to be trained makeup artists
Thank you so much for all of your replies much appreciated.
I have booked to have it done at HoF in Guildford next Friday at 4pm.
The girl I spoke to was lovely and she assured me that it would last all night which is great.
It was £25 but will be redeemable against anything I purchase.
Ohhh looking forward to being made over!!!
