Question:
Help with Buying a cream
Hey Girls,
I am 28 and I thought it is about time I started taking care of my face's skin. I was thinking of buying some age regenerist(sp?) skin care product so that my skin can look nice.
Do you have any ideas or suggestions regarding this? I have a Normal skin and a tanned complexion.
Thanks,
JB

Hi
Before we can answer your question you need to tell us a little bit about your skin.
What type is it i.e are there any dry patches, areas of congestion, do you suffer from spots, do you have any sensitivities.
How do you currently cleanse your face.
Do you currently use a moisturiser, if so which one.
What has prompted you to think that you need a moisturiser/different moisturiser.
If you can let us have this information I (and probably others) will see if they can help.
Ruth
Hi Ruthsy,
Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry I wasn't very clear in my post. Here are answers to your questions:
1: What type is it i.e. are there any dry patches, areas of congestion, do you suffer from spots, do you have any sensitivities.
A: No, I have a good skin. I suffer from Odd spot or two when I am nearing my monthly periods. That's it. Otherwise I have a clear skin with no patches, no congestion etc. Although I do have dark circles and eye bags.
2. How do you currently cleanse your face?
A: I tend not to take too much care of my skin :o Currently I just use Dove soap to clean my face.
3. Do you currently use a moisturiser, if so which one.
A: I apply Nivea skin cream after cleaning my skin with soap. That is all I ever do.
4. What has prompted you to think that you need a moisturiser/different moisturiser?
A: Seeing people take such good care of their skin and thinking how will their skin look when they are in their 30s, 40s. I want to start taking care of my skin from now on. I went for a hair cut some time back and my hairdresser told me how she started taking care of her skin early on etc.. that prompted me to start thinking about me.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
JB
I would certainly recommend the olay regenerist range. the thermal scrub is absolutely lovely and leaves your skin glowing... if you've never exfoliated before you will certainly notice the difference.
I would also recommend the olay moisturisers, all have recieved good reviews here. I have quite spotty skin so use the 7 signs 'blemish care' version, but the normal versions would be good for you I'm sure. All leave the skin with a nice velvety feel. Perhaps the Olay 'first signs' one would be most suitable?

This is quite a new product and looks good. If you try it let us know how you get on...
Firstly purchase a moisturiser with a high SPF. UV light is the number one damaging and ageing factor.
Also try to avoid the skin becoming dehydrated. The number of skin problems that I see that impove principally from working on the moisture content in the skin.
In addition the first signs of ageing often appears around the eyes (fine lines - crows feet) I would theefore be tempted to buy a specialist eye moisturiser. Do not be tempted to use normal moisturiser - the skin is too delicate and thin.
I work with Artistry products but you will not be able to get these in the stores.
Get advice from the assistants and try a few differnet brands before purchase. It will give you an idea how it suits your skin.
