Question:
Eye Drops
Can anyone recommend some good hydrating eye drops? I have really dry eyes and i've lost the ones i currently had which were useless anyway.
Can anyone help?
I was prescribed Hypromellose eye drops after my laser surgery for if/when my eyes dried out. They cost about £2 from pharmacies and I can highly recommend them. But they don't do anything apart from wet the eyes, ie. don't make them brighter or add a slight blue tinge to make the whites look whiter, like some eye drops do. These are purely medicinal, but they do work.
They sound fantastic, do you know whether you have to have them on prescription? How long do they lubricate your eyes for?
I've had an eye infection which has left my eyes like they've been taken out and sandpapered :(
No prescription needed. Just seemed to do the trick to lubricate the eyes when they seemed dry. Certainly makes them more comfortable. Not sure if it has any medicinal properties to combat an eye infection. To be sure, you should go to a pharmacy and see what they recommend.
Thanks hun much appreciated :)
