Question:
please help! self harm scars
from when i was 14, still pretty evident on my left arm, and pretty embarassing!! something I very much regret doing.
I'm 20 now and I'm just praying they'll fade more and hoping I wont have to do anything drastic. For the past few days I've been using Bio-oil, rubbing it in several times a day, so far no change but I'm not expecting miracles, I'm aware it might take a while, and I was convinced by the advert so I thought I'd give it a try. I have also tried in the past bursting vitamin e capsules onto the scars and using aloe vera cream, but they're still there to see!
The skin is all at the same level, it's not like raised or deep scars or anything, the scars just have alot paler tone than the rest of my skin, and so they stand out a mile.
Can anyone recommend anything? I know there's a concealer product called dermacare which you can get from your doctor, but I badly badly want to get rid of them and just forget it was every there, I don't want to have to put concealer on them everyday. I also don't want to have to pay hundreds for some crazy laser skin resurfacing.
Please help if you can!
please help! self harm scars
Hugs to you first of all.
Decleor Proagene gel is suppose to be good but takes months to work.
I have heard that once they are white or no longer reddish then nothing can help, but you never know.
I have a few scars on my arms from trying to selp tattoo(it was the in thing at school),I used a needle not a pin like the other girls!!!! The lines are very fine and the fact I am now in my forties has helped,I know they are there and you can still see a few faint lines.
I've heard good things about Prolegene gel too and I think it was claimed it could reduce even white scars - whatever you try it's going to take a long time but it's worth a try - and maybe take a photo now and then another in a month as you'll not notice any difference day to day... try not to let them get you down you've come a long way...
