Question:
Surgery?
Basically, ive been considering having surgery.
But down there. :o
Its a bit of an embarassing subject so i'm sorry, but its something ive had on my mind for the past two years.
Its called labia Reduction surgery. As i am so incredibally unhappy about the shape and size of down there! Its knocked my confidance really badly when it comes sex and caused problems in past relationships. As well as being genuinely uncomfartouble sometimes.
I wasnt sure where to post this subject, but "Beauty and Treatments" seemed suitable.
I just wondered if anybody has considered having this type of surgery, or had it done themselves or if anybody had any information they may beable to give?
I have of course researched into it, yet there is no way i would beable to come up with the money, as im only young. I have heard of having it done on the NHS? Is that possible, and would this mean it would not cost anything?
Replys would be appreciated! Thankyou. x
Surgery?
Really honest opinion? Unless your lips are hanging down to your knees I cannot see the NHS paying for it. I have never heard of this operation being done on the NHS,and anytime it seems to be in America going by a documentary I once watched.
Try going to you GP and seeing what they say,you will have to undress and be examoned(sp). By the way everyone is different down there don't go by photos of pornstars to how you should look. And to be honest more guys when they get down their won't notice.
i've only ever heard of this in mags like Cosmopolitan and Glamour and the girls that had had it done had to pay alot of money.
if its really getting you down and is painful, then see your doctor and they might be able to refer you to a specialist, or at least give you advise. every girl is different down there, just like every body part, they come in different shapes and sizes. guys shouldnt care what its like down there and should be happy that your letting them get intimate with you. if any guy made a comment about it - they arent worth it.
try not to worry hun - surgery should be the last option.
PL xx
It isn't fair.
If they're causing you any kind of pain, physical or emotional, you should get them done. (I'll probably get flamed for saying that!)
Life's too short to worry about things. People who don't have a problem that bothers them day & night don't know how bad it can be. I was in a similar situation to yours (except what I fixated on was plain for everyone else to see & therefore twice as bad in my mind :o ).
Go to see your GP first. If s/he can help, go for it. If not, research it REALLY well (I did & it paid dividends), start saving & make sure that you pick the right guy.
Good luck. I hope you can get it sorted.
I think surgery is the last option. If you don't mind me asking, why are you in pain?
As everybody else has said, porn starts bits have been done usually and are not natural, and nothing to go by. Men don't really care what it looks like down there and it goes for women's views on mens genitals too.
Also, how did your bits cause problems in past relationships? I mean what was the actual problem?
IMO, don't waste your money 'fixing' them, there is a chance it won't turn out right. You should take time to learn to love them. Everyone goes through this at least at one point of their life regarding absolutely everything body related imgainagble..and some not imaginable for that matter.
