Eyelash Tint recs?
Question:

Eyelash Tint recs?
I recently got an eyelash tint at a beauty salon and love the results! Although it's abit expensive at £10 every month so I'd like to try doing it at home.
Can any one recommend a good home dye kit? I've seen a couple in Boots, brands called Colorsport and Swiss O Par...has anyone used either of these?
Also, is it very difficult to just colour your upper lashes??? (my eyes always seem to look better with just my upper lashes coloured, I never use mascara on my lower ones) At the salon the girl tried but some still tinted my lower lashes, probably when wiping the solution off afterwards. Perhaps this is unavoidable? :(
Alot of questions here I know, I'd really appreciate any advice/recommendations. Many many thanks in advance! x

Hi!
I've used Colorsport for years and can thoroughly recommend it.
It's very easy to use. You simply squeeze the tube of dye into the mixing dish provided, add the hydrogen peroxide and mix to a smooth paste with the stick provided. You can use the stick to apply to the lashes (but I use an old mascara wand to get really close to the roots) and leave for 10 minutes. You then remove the excess dye by wiping a dampened cotton wool pad over each closed eye.
You can apply the dye to the upper lashes only if you wish and it's good for eyebrows, too.
I usually need to re-do my lashes every 5-6 weeks.
The effect is really good and I find a kit lasts up to 2 years! Much cheaper than visiting the beauty salon once a month!
Don't forget that you'll need to patch test the product first.
Good Luck! :)

:thanks: princess bear
I think I'll try the colorsport one.
You make it sound easy but in my hands things may well go pear-shaped...
BTW, good tip about using an old mascara wand to get close to the lash roots ;)

Another Colorsport fan here too. I've been using it for years. And thanks for the mascara wand tip princess bear - why didn't I think of that?!

Or me? I use Colorsport on brows & top lashes (I couldn't do the bottom ones if I tried).
It's very easy, I don't bother with all that vaseline faff, and mine lasts for just over a year (I must use a lot!).
Haven't heard of that other one, is that in Boots?
