Question:
Glasgow baggers
Can anyone recommend a good beauticians for getting a brazilian wax (my first eeeeek!)
I did do a search on here cos im sure its been talked about before but couldn't find anything!
Would rather go to somewhere that i know is good - i wasn't that happy with my last wax so wouldn't go back to the same one
thanks guys :)
You should go to Elegance on Sauchiehall Street... it was until recently known as Tanbase.
I went on the recommendation of a friend after a lot of disasters elsewhere. They are really good. I wouldnt go anywhere else now.
The therapists are chatty and make you feel at ease. I usually go to a girl called Catherine but she has just gone on maternity leave recently. Ive have had other therapists in the past though and they are just as good.
It cost around £25 if I remember correctly. But if you keep going back and there's not a lot of growth they will just charge you for a normal wax.
In fact I have an appointment card with the phone number - 0141 333 9998. Its number 387 Sauchiehall Street.
If you have any questions let me know x
Hi JSS,
Can I hijack here and ask what Elegance class as a Brazilian i.e. is it a 'proper' brazilian ?? Or are they just jumping on the bandwagon ?
And can you give me some of the details, i.e. pants/paper pants/no pants ? Sooooo sorry :o just want to know what to expect as I'm keen to book in but it would be my first too and am bit nervous.
Innocent - did you go ? What did you think ?
Thanks girls

Hi Gobo..
For a brazilian they will wax underneath and the sides and top. They will leave you with a small strip of hair just at the top about 4cms by 2cms. They do a really good job and if you would prefer a different shape they will do it for you.
You can also get a Hollywood which is everything off!
They give you a pair of paper pants. You just pull them to the side when she is waxing that particular area. There are no dodgy position either. To do underneath she will just get you to pull your foot up to your knee and let you leg fall down to the side.... You won't be expected to go on all fours !! :o
You should go. It's not bad...honest!
The girls in there do it everyday and will chat away to you.
I am going again next Friday for the works....brazilian, full leg and eyebrows!
You won't look back ;)
Let me know how it goes xx
Thats good to know that there are no odd positions required iv heard all sorts of horror stories thanks for the info - just had a chance to check it
I've not been yet im not back in Glasgow til the end of the month just planning ahead hehe
Also iv decided to go for a hollywood rather than a brazilian might as well just get it over and done with cos thats what i wanted eventually anyway! JSS do you know if that means i wouldn't get paper pants? i'm not that bothered anyway like you say i just need to keep remembering they do them all the time, its the pain im more worried about
thanks again for the replies
