acne
Question:

acne
I try as hard as I can to diligently cleanse tone moisturise morning and night. I drink plenty of water....
Yet I still get pretty bad acne. Its really getting me down :(
I've been reading about roaccutane and I am considering going to the GPs for that... But because of some of the side effects I wanted to hear any advice I can hear suggestions etc recommendations before I take that step.
much appreciated..

There's lots of options you could try before resorting to Roaccutane.
What have you tried so far?

I know the feeling but try not to worry hun - worrying and stressing about them could be making them worse :(
i used to suffer from acne - i went to the docs are prescribed me tablets (i've forgotten what they are called, they arent the ones you mentioned though) and they worked great when i was on them but i came off them after about 6 months and my spots came back.
i have recently discovered Freederm facial wash which you can buy from Boots and Superdrug etc... Its about £8.95 so not cheap but its brilliant. it really clears your spots and isnt harsh against your skin like some facial cleaners.
I'd suggest trying this first - see what you think once you've finished the bottle and if you dont see improvements then see your dr and they'll be able to prescribe the correct tablets for you.
also, keep drinking plently of water to help flush out any nasty impurities (sp?!)
PL xx

I use 'simple' cleanser, toner and moisturiser... I actually feel like my spots get worse when I moisturise though...

Well I try not to let it bother me too much and I know I'm not unattractive, I'm always complimented on other features so I try to focus on that..
and then you'll have one comment which will bring you down and make you feel a lot more self conscious..
my ex's little cousin (who was only about 6 at the time) once touched my face and said ... ouch how horrible... you have so many spots, it looks horrible.
Its only a kid but it still upset me. pathetic i know! :(
I might give that free derm a go though.
