Question:
fake tan and sun cream
Does putting on sun cream affect your fake tan? I don't want to look streaky. Also i may be forced to swim in the ocean how does fake tan cope with this anything i should be aware of? And i may have to go into a swimming pool as well not quite sure yet but want to be prepared for every eventuality!!!:p
yes! If you put the suncream on first, which you should do to ensure your skin is protected, then the fake tan won't "take" to your skin. if you apply the fake tan first, you probably (depending on the brand and when it becomes water-proof) need to wait an hour before you put the suncream on - not ideal if you're wanting to sunbathe!
I found fake tanning an absolute nightmare on holiday. i skipped it all together during the day and applied it at night before going out
also the chemicals in swimming pools are quite harsh and can strip fake tan, which means it makes even more sense to apply it at night
hope this helps!
Thanks yes it does, at the moment using Ambre Solaire light, going to stop using it next Monday and then just use superdrug moisturizer with self tan in or my Dove self tan from then on... we leave on the Friday so i don't want to put it on before i go and end up like a deckchair!!!:p
Are you going to a hot country?
I would say carry on with the fake tan until you fly out, then use sun cream while you are sunbathing, then perhaps use something like Johnsons hoilday skin at night if you are not happy with your tan.
3 days in 27 degree heat....
