A few plucking rules I live by:
Shaping:
Hold a pencil vertically at the side of your nose and pluck away the hairs behind where the pencil meets your eyebrowbut no further (do this on each side obviously). Hold the pencil diagonally accross your eye so it meets the outer corner of your eye, any eyebrows past the pencil should be plucked. To create your arch, position the pencil diagonally from the side of your nose straight through the middle of your eye, this should be the highest point of your arch.
To avoid over plucking and uneven eyebrows, do a little of one eyebrow, and then do the same on the other. Then return to the first eyebrow and pluck some more and so on.
For ease of pluck, steam your face before beginning. Always wash your face and hands before plucking and sterilise your tweezers to avoid infections.

You could also let them grow back a bit and get a beautician to do them. Then you can just keep to that shape yourself. I used to pluck my own, then went to a salon, and was really impressed with the difference it made! A good way to see how yours will turn out though, is to check the persons own eyebrows and if they look good, before you let them do yours!
