Question:
Lush rant!
I bought one of my friends a gift box for her birthday today, the Little Gem one which is £18.50. Just out of interest I thought i'd work out how much it would have cost me to buy the items included individually, expecting it would work out the same or slightly more expensive than the gift box.
I was not at all impressed to discover the contents are in fact worth only £12.03. That means I have paid over £6 for the dubious priviledge of having the products pre-packed in a presentation box
I will NEVER buy a gift box rom there again. I could have bought a perfectly nice gift bag for £1-2 from somewhere else and bought another product to put in it too for the £18.50.
I'd return the gift box if I thought they would accept it, but i don't suppose they will.
I got it at £14.70 but that's still £3.80 on packaging which is a bit steep. I always thought that gift packs were the same or cheaper than buying the products separately! Lush have a nice little earner going with these :head:
I'm not impressed
and I'm not impressed with their postage either
Woah, that is a bit steep. Mind you, at christmas, I got a honey hat box for free, which was worth about 50 quid, because they wanted to get rid of them.
To be honest, if it came to 14.70, I would probably spend 3 quid packaging it nicely too, myself.
They do the 4 packs of bath ballistics which are more expensive then buying them seperatly - can't see the point
I would boycot Lush but I love some of there stuff so can't :(
I think that is very cheeky indeed.
Imagine how much money they rake in from people buying these gift boxes!
I would email them and say that you are not impressed, if you don’t let them know that you are annoyed how will they know? IF they have enough people complain it might make them do something about it.
