Question:
Bikini/Brazilian wax
Hey everyone
I finally found somewhere in Canterbury who does brazilian waxes, only to find out when making an appointment that they have a new therapist who isn't trained to do brazilians!
So I booked a standard bikini line wax instead. I've never had a bikini line or brazilian wax before and I was wondering exactly where a bikini wax removes hair from? I wanted a brazilian because I knew it removed all hair except a strip on top. Does a bikini line only remove hair from the 'top sides' (making the triangle smaller - iyswim?), or from underneath as well?
I know I should have asked when I booked but I was half asleep and not thinking! Also, should I trim before I go?
Please help!

What they'll do is wax any stray hair outside your knicker line/bikini line. So if you want more off you'll need to wear skimpier knickers or a thong :D
The therapist will trim you if necessary but you can do it before you go to if you prefer.
Shame about the brazilian :(
Thanks rebelgirl.
I just had the bikini wax and I'm really disappointed. She only took a small amount of hair off - leaving patches of hair outside my knicker-line.
It took ages as well! The wax wasn't heated when I got there so had to wait on the bed with no trousers on for 15 mins while it heated, and she made me feel like it was my fault!
Also, I was left really sticky. Is that normal? She didn't put anything on the area, I had to use a Veet finishing wipe when I got home after a very uncomfortable walk!
I'm definitely not going back there again!

p.s. If anyone's wondering, the pain wasn't that bad. Much less painful than I expected.
there is a place called Therapy in Canterbury, right near the centre which does brazillian waxes. NIt had one myself, but a friend used to go there

Too right  what a shit therapist!
She should have already had the wax ready at the right temperature.
She should have removed all the hair outside the knicker line.
And you shouldn't have been left all sticky, any stray wax should have been cleaned away and then a soothing lotion applied.
She should also have cleaned the area beforehand.
Did she use hot or warm wax? Hot wax is much better for this area. Hot wax is used on it's own, there's no strips like with warm wax.
Did she use a fresh spatule each time because you're not meant to keep dipping the same spatule into the wax when doing the bikini line.
Crap therapists make me so mad
