Question:
Has anyone been to The Sanctuary in Covent Garden?
Can you tell me what it's like? Would you be ok going on your own? Any tips on what to bring?
I have been there, it's lovely. I went on my own too.
However, there is one thing I don't like about it. I received a gift voucher for my birthday once to go there for £100. When I rang the Sanctuary they told me that I had to pay £65.00 to go there for the day and that was even before I had booked any treatments, so all I would have been left with was ameasly £35.00 to buy treatments! I was so mad! I really felt they had ripped my then boyf off by not telling him this, so basically, my gift voucher was an entry fee.
After that experience with the voucher, I wouldn't give them another penny!

That's terrible
and £65 sounds a bit steep just to be there. I hope it didn't ruin your birthday entirely.
I'm booking a spa day for my sister's birthday with Re-Aqua at Canary Wharf. They've been really good so far and answered all my questions. Their prices are very reasonable too I think. I'm only paying £20 to actually be there and this includes towels and robes. This helps as you've got more left over to buy treatments with.
The package we're getting includes
deluxe facial
full body massage
manicure
pedicure
goody bag :D
and will cost us £135 each which I don't think is bad at all. The only thing we'll have to pay for is lunch so I hope their cafe isn't too expensive. Anyway we're not there to eat ;)
I'd highly recommend them even though I've not been on it yet
RebelGirl - £135 is a really good price for all that.
I might look into doing that myself – do they have a website?

Yes they've got a website but I got my deal via lastminute.com :D
It's the 'because you're worth it' package and is £115 but as this is just treatments, I have to add an extra £20 to use the spa facilities. How bad :yay:
Re-Aqua Salons
Pamper Packages
The makeup has been discontinued so instead they add another 15 minutes to your massage to make it an hour or you can have a deluxe facial instead of the standard. They do either Guinot or Elemis. I'm still not decided on which one to have.
You can also swap either the manicure or the pedicure for another treatment if you want. I'm thinking of having a body scrub instead of the pedicure.
