Question:
itching driving me mad!!
i'm sat here wriggling around itching all over and have no idea whats caused it!
i have scratched my legs and back red raw this week, and now im starting on my neck, how weird is that?!!
i havent changed anything in my diet or products at all, and have just used cocoa butter and aloe vera lotion on my skin twice a day to soothe my skin, but its not working.
can anyone help recommend something to 'cool' my skin? or shed any light as to what on earth is going on?!!

If it were me I wouldn't put anything on it, your skin is obviously protesting about something, or having something put on it.
I would leave it well alone, and get an antihisthamine from the chemists.
It sounds very similar to what I had last year. I had had an allergic reaction to a virus. I just wanted to sit in a bath of freezing cold water to take the pain of itching away. I tried every cream under the sun and the only thing that remotly helped was sudocreme. Try taking some anti-histamines like clarytin if that doesn't work go to your GP.
Have you changed your washing powder or fabric conditioner? That can cause an itch all over, and sometimes is forgotton about.
I agree with what inca says and put nothing on it at all, and see the pharmacist in the morning to see if he suggests anything to put on it
ETA - and try not to itch as if it is something else you could spread it or break the skin and it could get infected!
some aquious cream or E45 itch relief cream should sooth it, but i would get it checked out by your doc, or pharmacist if you can't ge to the doc :)
