Question:
concealer recs please girls!!!
Hello everyone!!!
Been trawling the shops lately for a new concealer as i think the one i've been using may have been causing spots (Estee Lauder Disappear Smoothing Concealer).
i've been looking for one that doesn't cause spots eg. no mineral oil etc.
Some of the MAC ones have caught my eye particulary the Studio Finish and Studio Stick.
Just wondering if any of you had used these and what you thought or if they caused any skin problems, or which concealers you use?
I don't wear foundation or powder so i want one staying power that i can use around my nose and on spots and the red marks they leave behind. Also is yellow toned or pink better?
Please help!! Sorry for rambling!!!!!
Hi again,
I said on your last post that I have the same problem - the best one I've found is Almay Amazing Lasting concealer. Totally oil free, and it does last. Having said that, it's not perfect (there's another recent thread on concealers never looking entirely natural :( ), but it blends and covers well and doesn't cause spots.

I really like MaxFactor Erace as a concealer. It's not too expensive eityher - bonus!
For spots I don't think you can beat "Hide The Blemish" by Rimmel. Cheap, but it works!!
As for the pink or yellow tone question, that totally depends on if you have yellow or pink toned skin.
Bare Escentuals do a Bisque concealor which is pink-toned. For a more yellow-toned version, you'll need Summer Bisque. They're great as an eyeshadow base, too.
BTW, if you're pink, you may be better off sticking with pink but if you're covering red marks, yellow is much more effective.
ETA: You'll need a good brush to apply this - Prescriptives do a fantastic Taklon one that's great for the job.
