non-spot marks on the back

I was wondering if someone could help me with my little problem :(
My back is completely smooth, and I don't think i used to have spots on it- if i did, they've cleared up!
But, i've got these little brown marks on my back... around the hair follicles mostly (I think. My vision of my back is somewhat limited lol). i don't know how to get rid of them. I don't have them anywhere else on my back. They don't stick up or anything... but they are getting annoying because it means I can't wear strap tops etc. They aren't very big either, definitely do not look like the splurges of ex-spot marks...
If anyone can help, would be really greatful. I tried to attach a pic, but it was too big (not 500x 500) and I have no idea how to make it smaller....

Could it be pigmentation?
It could be pigmentation from Sun Damage...do you sit in the sun a lot?
If you're worried, go to your gp and ask them to have a look. Better to be safe than sorry.

No no, it is definitely not pigmentation. Sitting in the sun is my phobia; as is the sun, you could say!
I'm not really worried enough to go to the Dr. It's not making me ill... it's just a bit unsightly :(
I'm really confused now :confused:
Do you use self tan because that can stain your pores.
Is it blocked pores?
Have you been using anything like AHAs that make your skin more sensitive to the sun?
