Green Concelor
Question:

Green Concelor
I have seen this somewhere and wondered what its actually for and why is it green?????????

Answers:

Green neutralises the redness of a spot/spot mark so makes it less obvious.

Funnily enough I have literally just been reading an article about corrective concealers. It was saying that makeup artists have moved away from using the traditional green to remove redness as they make the skin look 'unnatural, pale and nauseous'.
They now use yellow as it neutralises unwanted redness and pinkness and it is also generally considered the most flattering foundation undertone for olive and asian complexions.

The old greens were really heavy & noticeable. Newer ones (or expensive ones), in my experience, are much more effective without leaving the nasty ghastly look. Smashbox's primer & Shiseido's stick are about the best I've tried. The new Benefit stuff made me look waaay too yellow & pale (almost as bad as a really bad zombie green concealer). Their old Get Even was MUCH better & came in different shades.

I've not tried the Benefit stuff, it was just what was mentioned in the article. Doesn't sound like a great improvement though :p
