Question:
concealer causing spots?? HELP!!
Hi everyone!!!
Please help me!!!
For a while now, i have been trying to figure out why i only ever get spots on my chin and jaw line throughout the month and it's just clicked - my chin is the only place i use my concealer.
I take dianette and my skin is near perfect everywhere else, just these annoying spots that won't go away. I looked at the ingredients in my concealer today in boots and found that it contains parrafin, so i've been thinking....
Could it be the concealer that is causing my spots???
This might help you figure it out, it's a list of comedogenic ingredients.

ETA is it parrafinum liquidum on the ingredients? as that is another name for mineral oil (which is on the list I posted)
Yup, liquid paraffin (paraffinium liquidum) and mineral oil are the same thing. Lists such as the one on the website often say that it doesn't irritate or cause breakouts - I think they give it an irritation facor of 0 - but it sure as heck isn't a 0 on me.
Which concealer do you use i love sweets? I had an extra coverage lancome one that gave me awful spots because it had mineral oil in it :(

I have been using Estee Lauder Disappear smoothing creme concealer for years, it doesn't list mineral oil but it lists parrafin which i assume is about the same.
I know i have an intolerance to mineral oil because when i use my clinique moisturiser on my chin i break out quite badly within a couple of days.
I've just brought Lancome Long Lasting Softening concealer as that does not list any dodgy ingredients like mineral oil etc... (i've checked!!!)
What a nightmare!!! loads of the concealers i tried out have bad stuff in them!!!
What'd you thimk???
