Question:
Using Lush Soaps
I bought some chocolate buttercream soap from Lush today and it really doesn't look much different to several small slices of luxury chocolate gateaux - very tempting to eat!
Howeverrrr... how are you meant to exactly 'use' lush soap? On the box it says you can either chill, freeze or leave the soap in the bathroom at room temp. before use, but which is the best way? The soap looks a bit too soft and residue-ish if left at room temp,, so for the time being I've left it in the fridge. Should I keep it cool for a while before use, if so how long for? Also do I just use it like an ordinary bar of soap? I think all Lush soaps should come with a pack of instructions or something
Lush's Buttercreams are slightly different to their soaps & it really is up to you how you use them. You can either leave them at room temperature & use them like a cream in the shower (although you'd probably use it up quicker that way) or refridgerate/freeze them & use them like soap. If you put it in the fridge it'll be half hard, half sort but still hard enough to use like a soap IYSWIM but if you freeze it it'll go quite hard. I got a sample of the Lemslip one (as I :throb: the smell of lemon!) & put it in the fridge & I have to say that although it wasn't extremely soapy, it did lather up a lot more than I thought it would.

I like to keep mine in the fridge and pull them out to use in the shower. They do last quite a long time (for Lush prods!) if you refridgerate them
The Lush Buttercreams are a bit different from your usual soap. It can be a bit tricky to use the traditional soap way. The best place to use it is in the shower. Just use a small amout and rub it into your skin it won't lather up like normal soap then rinse off.
